Trombone Is Alive and Well

in the South!

BoneFire is a group of trombonists who get togather every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month to read and rehearse trombone ensemble music. If you are traveling thru the Richmond, VA area you are invited to join us at the Chester Presbyterian Church. We begin at 10AM. Our group of trombonists, numbering over 70 now, includes beginners, amatuers, and professionals. The music we read ranges in difficulty from simple to OMG hard. Our ensemble currently uses alto, tenor, and bass trombones. Soprano trombonists and contrabass trombonist are welcome! (Oh, OK…valve trombonists, too.) BoneFire performs around the Richmond area whenever possible. We have entertained at the Vetrans Hopital, welcomed the public to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, performed at the Chester Library, and many area churches. We are always looking forward to performing in public. It is our pleasure to educate the public about trombone…its history and performance!
